Dubai [UAE]: The West Indies are currently leading the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 after a commanding display with the bat and ball saw the Caribbean team defeat Scotland by six wickets on Sunday.
After restricting the Scottish team to just 99 when they batted first, they managed to chase down that total in just 12 overs, earning a victory that increased their self-assurance and net run rate.
Scotland decided to bat after winning the toss, but Saskia Horley was bowled out for 11 by Hayley Matthews in the second over. With two consecutive maidens, the first one a wicket maiden when she bowled Sarah Bryce for two, Chinelle Henry applied pressure.
