At a rally in Nagpur South West on Thursday, the Congress leader took a personal jab at Fadnavis, saying that while the politicians’ children would study overseas, the general public would resist this “dharmyudh.”

He added, “Or will we defend ‘dharma’ while the deputy chief minister’s wife creates Instagram reels?”

In an effort to combat “vote jihad,” Fadnavis urged people to take part in what he dubbed a “vote dharmyudh” earlier on Saturday.

He had asserted that members of a specific community purposefully abstained from voting for the BJP during the Lok Sabha elections, a practice known as “vote jihad.”

The opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi, led by Congress, Shiv Sena, and NCP, will face the ruling Mahayuti, which is made up of BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP, in an election on November 20.
