On Friday, Coldplay’s Infinity concert tickets sold out on Bookmyshow in a matter of minutes. The ₹2,000 tickets are distributed at random and need to be picked up in person. Due to high demand, the band just added a fourth gig in Ahmedabad.
As hundreds of fans waited in queue on Bookmyshow on Friday, all of the tickets for the next Coldplay gigs sold out in a matter of minutes. Days after announcing a fourth gig in Ahmedabad due to “incredible fan demand,” the well-known British band made the deal. After the tickets were sold out in a matter of minutes, there was a growing issue about the purported “black marketing of tickets.”
What are Infinity Tickets?
To make Coldplay performances more affordable for fans, infinity tickets are distributed for each performance. These tickets usually cost about $20, and regardless of price or category, seats are assigned at random anywhere in the venue.
On Bookmyshow, tickets for all the venues and dates were available for ₹2,000. The sale began at noon and ended in a matter of minutes. Fans were only allowed to acquire two tickets at a time and were allowed to purchase these tickets in pairs.
When attendees pick up their tickets on the day of the performance, the seat placements will be revealed. Tickets must be picked up in person at the box office with a valid photo ID. The official Coldplay website states that Infinity tickets are void and cannot be resold or transferred for a refund.
Other Coldplay Shows – Date and Time
In mid-September, Coldplay confirmed two gigs in Mumbai, their first visit to India in almost ten years. In response to public demand, the band added a third gig at the DY Patil Stadium before announcing their fourth performance in Ahmedabad.
The pop-rock group’s new date is set for
- January 18 at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Sports Stadium.
- January 19: Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Sports Stadium
- January 21: Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Sports Stadium
- January 25: Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium
The forthcoming performances will be a part of a worldwide tour that started in 2022 to promote their album Music of the Spheres. Guy Berryman (bass), Will Champion (drums), Jonny Buckland (guitar), and Chris Martin (lead vocals) are known for creating performances that captivate audiences.
