NTR has been advertising Devara everywhere, and today Anirudh and the entire Devara team arranged a press conference in Chennai. In the midst of this, NTR publicly asked his preferred director to work with him on a straight Tamil movie.
Star heroes frequently approach their favourite directors directly to request a film, and this instance is no exception. When asked when he would be releasing a Tamil film, NTR didn’t think twice to invite his favourite director, Vetrimaaran, to work on a straight Tamil film with him. He even mentioned that it would be Telugu-dubbed.
“I will enquire with my preferred director…” NTR responded, “Vetrimaaran sir, please do one with me,” as the audience burst into applauding.
Verimaaran is well-known for his unvarnished and bucolic cinema, which has achieved both great critical and commercial success simultaneously. It remains to be seen if the filmmaker will give NTR’s surprising proposal to collaborate on a movie some thought.
However, if we go back in time, the highly anticipated films starring our favourite heroes and directed by Tamilians did not turn out very well.
Vetrimaaran had previously discussed the rumours about her collaboration with NTR. He declared that he would not cooperate in order to achieve the collaboration or star values.
Returning to the Devara ceremony, Jr. NTR conveyed his admiration and appreciation for Chennai. The actor talked about how he began his training in Kuchipudi in Chennai and how the city has a particular place in his heart.
Jr. NTR went on to compliment Devara’s music director Anirudh Ravichander and director Koratala Siva, referring to them as the film’s cornerstones. As the film approaches its premiere, he also shared his excitement.
A story of friendship and treachery that takes place over multiple generations and takes place on the seas is told in the film Devara, which stars Jr. NTR in the title role. Saif Ali Khan plays a strong and erratic antagonist against Jr. NTR, who plays a dual character in the movie as both a father and a son.
Janhvi Kapoor makes her Telugu film debut in this movie as well, since she has a major role. The ensemble cast of Devara also features a number of gifted performers in important roles, including Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Kalaiyarasan, Murali Sharma, Ajay, and others.
