Ratan Tata former Tata Group Chairman dies at 86

Tata Sons said in a statement on Wednesday that Ratan Tata, chairman emeritus, had passed away. He was eighty-six. Since Monday, Ratan Tata, the chairman of the group for over 20 years, has been receiving critical treatment in a hospital in Mumbai.

Ratan Tata’s passing was announced by N Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons. The chairman emeritus of one of the largest businesses in India has been hospitalized at the Breach Candy Hospital in south Mumbai for the past few days. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his profound sorrow at Ratan Tata’s departure and referred to him as an exceptional human being, a visionary business leader, and a kind soul.

Ratan Naval Tata was born in Mumbai on 28 December 1987. He he is an Indian industrialist and philanthropist passed away on October 9 2024 he chaired Tata Group and Tata sons from 1992 to 2012 and then the company from October 2016 to February 2017. He was also awarded the second highest civilian honour in India the Padma Vibhushan in 2008 Ratan Tata was previously awarded the third highest civilian honour Bhushan in 2000.

Ratan Tata Cremation and Final Rites

On Thursday, October 10, 2024, in the evening, the last ceremonies of the well-known industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Tata were carried out at a central Mumbai cremation with full state honors. Tata was honored by the Mumbai police with a gun salute. At the Worli crematorium were members of the industry titan’s family, such as his half-brother Noel Tata, as well as high-ranking Tata Group executives including chairman N. Chandrasekaran. Thursday morning saw the hearse carrying the remains of industrialist Ratan Tata, decorated with white flowers, being driven from his home to the NCPA in south Mumbai, where it was stored for people to pay their final respects.

Saraogi also emphasized Tata’s noteworthy contributions to philanthropy and corporate social responsibility.
