Bagheera Movie Review

Bagheera Movie Review: Srii Murali of Ugramm fame plays the protagonist in this Prashanth Neel tale, which was directed by Dr. Suri. Although the thoughts and ideas of this vigilante action drama are excellent, the execution may use some improvement to make it feel more “super.” It has already been released in the movie theatres. So, you can go and watch.

After nearly three years with Bagheera, Kannada actor Srii Murali is returning to the big screen. Known as the “Roaring Star” of Kannada cinema, a title he acquired following the release of Prashanth Neel’s first blockbuster, Ugramm, Srii Murali clearly put a lot of work into this Dr. Suri-directed picture. Vijay Kiragandur’s Hombale Films, which is renowned for producing the KGF series, Kantara, and Salaar, is funding the vigilante action drama. Has team Bagheera’s commitment and hard work, however, paid off on screen? Let’s investigate!

Bagheera 2024 – Watch Complete Trailer

After more than ten years, Dr. Suri, who earlier directed the Kannada movie Lucky, which starred Yash, takes the helm once more. Having worked on high-concept films like Salaar and the KGF series, he takes Prashanth Neel’s basic plot and creates a stunning picture. However, it becomes clear that he still lacks the ability to perform elevation moments with the same power as Neel, even if he has been exposed to large-scale cinema and enjoys the superhero genre. A lot of scenes make you say “Oh,” but they don’t quite reach the “Wow” factor.

Bagheera Full Movie Story

In Bagheera, Vedanth (Srii Murali) is a little boy who fervently aspires to be a superhero in real life. However, his mother helps him choose a career path that will allow him to follow his passion, whether it be as a doctor, soldier, or police officer like his father. After deciding to follow in his father’s footsteps and join the police department, Vedanth finds that his ideal of law enforcement is not in line with the actual situation. In order to help society by bringing justice to those impacted by crime, he chooses to embrace his inner hero and become a vigilante, taking on the fury of an animal. Can one man, Bagheera, stand up to an organised crime group as Vedanth sets out on this journey?

Srii Murali does a fantastic job carrying the movie on his massive shoulders. Although he has primarily played fierce characters since his sleeper smash Ugramm, his performance in Bagheera displays a range of retribution-related hues. His intense physical training for the movie had a significant effect because his commanding bulk effectively positions Vedanth and Bagheera as formidable characters. Although she doesn’t play a major part, Rukmini Vasanth is a great support to Vedanth. But as the primary antagonist, KGF star Garuda Ram is a little lacklustre. Strong performances are given by the rest of the cast, which includes Prakash Raj, Rangayana Raghu, Achyuth Kumar, Sudha Rani, and others.

Bagheera 2024 – Climax

Bravo to Vijay Kiragandur’s Hombale Films, director Dr. Suri, main actor Srii Murali, and the entire crew for taking a chance and giving this movie their all. This avant-garde superhero movie may be ahead of its time, as said in promotional interviews, but will it succeed in a Hanu-Man way? Time will tell. However, it makes sense that the filmmakers were anxious before the movie’s premiere.

The movie has both technical advantages and disadvantages. Consistency is lacking in the cinematography; although the money shots are striking, the other sequences appear to lack the same level of inventiveness. Ajaneesh Loknath’s music is mediocre at times, adding to scenes in some instances and falling short in others.

The soundtrack in certain elevation scenes doesn’t really capture the effect, even when the pictures hint at a moment that would give you goosebumps. The set design is without a doubt one of the movie’s highlights. The director and his crew have created aesthetically spectacular set pieces, particularly the money shots, which are obviously influenced by Batman books and films. The film’s main focus is action, and although the choreography is nearly flawless, there is still opportunity for growth in the camera work during the action scenes.

Bagheera 2024 Ending

In conclusion, the Kannada cinema industry hasn’t seen such a well-meaning, experimental endeavour on this scale in a long time. This Diwali, Bagheera is a must-see and an exciting theatrical event. Superhero moviegoers should not miss “Desi Batman x Black Panther.” Such ideas are uncommon in India, and Bagheera is deserving of praise—with a dash of tolerance and compassion.
