Former pornographic star and social media icon Mia Khalifa has responded to reports that she is seeing 24-year-old Atletico Madrid attacker and former Manchester City player Julian Alvarez.
The rumours, which first surfaced in Argentinean and Italian media, have been decisively dispelled by Khalifa, who clarified the situation on social media.
“To clear things up: I’m not dating anybody, and if I were, it certainly wouldn’t be someone not old enough to remember where they were on 9/11,” Khalifa posted on X (previously Twitter).
Alvarez, who made a record-breaking £81 million transfer to Atletico Madrid this summer, has been in a committed relationship with Maria Emilia Ferrero, an influencer and childhood sweetheart. She responded sharply after the unfounded rumours of a connection to Khalifa became viral online.
The 31-year-old Khalifa is now unmarried after having been married twice. Her second marriage to Swedish chef Robert Sandberg lasted only a year, and her first marriage to her high school boyfriend terminated in 2016. In the past, she was also romantically associated with the rapper Jhayco.
Khalifa, who is well-known for her vocal passion for football, has previously mentioned her favourite players, including Aaron Mooy, David Beckham, and Zinedine Zidane. She compared Mooy’s reserved manner to NBA player Kawhi Leonard, calling him “a good guy,” and lauded Zidane’s notorious headbutt in the World Cup final as “the most exciting thing I’ve seen happen in a football match.”

Although, the Sun, Il Messaggero, A Bola, and OK Diario were among the European portals where rumours about the supposed romance between the Argentinean and the Lebanese model first surfaced.
